Andrew & Heather
We both grew up in Denton and were married in November of 2006. We just bought our first house and love adjusting to our older home's "character." In our spare time, we enjoy working on graphic and web design projects together. This blog chronicles our adventures and misadventures. Thanks for visiting.
So its about that time again for me to inject in you some interesting, but perhaps pointless things I have come across/experienced:
I bought for Heather this print awhile ago to put in our office nook because we both thought the history behind the print was interesting (WWII) and as a joking reminder to not stress out too much (Official Site?). However, maybe I should have just bought this T-Shirt instead or, maybe, this or even this.
We all look at celebrity gossip, admit it. However, lets get some more interesting photos paparazzi. How many times do we need to see a photo of a D list celebrity getting coffee? Now this is more like it: Invisible Bikes!
Having a bad day? Well look on the bright side, you have probably lived longer than other people. I mean, I found out today that I have now lived longer that Notorious B.I.G., feeling better already. Who have you out lived?
Lastly, I feel like I need to add a litte personability to this post. Confession: I do not like female vocalists. There is something about their voices that I just cannot listen to. I almost always prefer a male’s voice over a female’s. However, that being said, why is it then that I really enjoy falsetto male voices? The list of falsetto voices I like include Adam Levine, Robin Thick, and Justin Tiberlake (or perhaps Justin with Adam). However, I heard one last night that I was truly impressed with and it came from a ~gasp~ American Idol contestant, Adam Lambert. Check it out for yourself:
There are several reasons why I would have never thought I would actually own a motorcycle, not the least of which is that my sainted wife hates the thought of me wrecking, naturally. However, by some crazy miracle, Heather agreed and I am now the proud, albeit still nervous, owner of a Harley Davidson (still sounds weird to me).
Though I haven’t taken the safety course (which I will, I swear, Heather) and I haven’t really gone to get my license yet, I thoroughly enjoy cruising my bike to work and around town. I filled up the gas tank for the first time and it cost me, wait for it, $4.87, using premium! This sucker gets upto 60 miles to the gallon!
Anyways, I had gotten some requests to post a picture or two. I hope you like and if you have, call me… let’s ride!
Yet another installment of Quick Hits, which is quickly become a regular, near weekly post heading…
An increased number of Americans (highest in recorded history) think that Global Warming is “exaggerated” according to a recent Gallup poll. Logically, Capital Hill’s climate plan could cost 2 trillion dollars: Washington Times.
Speaking of a trillion dollars, ever wonder what one trillion dollars actually look like? Something like this.
Jasen showed me this great website where you can actually listen to thousands of live (recorded) concerts with near perfect sound quality: Internet Archive
Obama is officially our “teleprompt President”: Sky News
Lastly, here is a break down of countries’ acceptance of the theory of evolution. I didn’t expect see USA so low:
It is beginning to worry me as some of my most favorite images are ones that I didn’t plan or try for. What does that say about my planned images? Never the less, I am thankful that sometimes my camera seems to be out in the right place at the right time.
I was planning to take a picture of Clay and Scott sitting side by side on our trip to Tyler. However, at the last second Scott leaned over and this is what I captured:
A little known fact about me is that I played Rugby and Lacrosse in high school and college, respectively. I really enjoyed playing both and still love to watch both.
I ran into my coach, Carl Lynch, about a week ago at Target and told him I would come out to the next game. Well, if I was going to go, I was going to shoot it. It wasn’t much of a game though as UNT defeated Oklahoma State 21-1 and remained undefeated so far this season.
I decided I would texture the images as I thought it was different than what I usually in the newspaper. I hope you enjoy.
