Bo’s 5th Birthday Party

It is hard to believe that it was a year ago I posted pictures of Bo’s 4th birthday party. However, a year has gone by and Heather and I were back out at Zach and Leanne’s house to celebrate Bo turning 5! It was about as low key has 10 kids running around a pool and house can be. They played in the pool, had a water ballon fight, and ate some delicious Donkey Kong cake.

Jake tactically hit the stone with the balloon to increase hit range; Abe was his victim.

Rev was hesitant to trust the jousting stick would hold his weight.

Clay was not.

Jones got a kick filling up the cup and watering the rocks and grass.

Job complete.

Looks like a sweet moment, but Dad was none to please to see Bo pulling Abe in the pool.

Abe kept saying he was saving this balloon for later. Smart Abe, smart.

Avery, Bo’s cousin, was quite content to stand in a bucket of water. He too savored his lone balloon.

Bo thought it was cruel to be given a box he couldn’t open. Luckily a knife was on the way.

Bo loves Donkey Kong (right now) and was excited to see Donkey Kong on his cake, with tons of bananas!

Like father, like son.

I took my flash off my camera. . .

First, I have posted more (all) pictures of family reunion here: Prinz-Heez Family Reunion. I just noticed, that for some reason, you can’t download all the hi-res images for printing. I will get that corrected.

Second, as noted by the titled, I shot some photos of Heather two nights ago. I wanted to try and shoot these images with my flash off my camera, so I did. These shots were taken about at 8:45 PM right after the sun set. Surprisingly, there is little photoshop, if any, done to these photos. They are, as we say, straight-out-of-camera (SOOC).

I am sure if you are friends with Heather on Facebook, you will see a new profile pic soon.

What do you think of the lighting? I think they turned out alright.

Prinz-Hees Family Reunion – Part 2

I stole a couple minutes away from shopping for Heather’s 25th birthday to get a couple more images ready to upload this morning. I suspect there will be atleast one more post of family reunion pictures this week.hees_reunion-18

Prinz-Hees Family Reunion – Part 1

My inlaws do family reunions right. The family rents out a resort for the weekend, generally in Texas hill county, and every Saturday night of the reunion, there is some type of entertainment. This year the coordinator of the reunion, Brett Hees, planned a night of Let’s Make a Deal. Let me just say this: my extended family took the costume part of the show very seriously. These are just some of the pictures taken from the weekend.

Note to family: I will have downloadable, full resolution, files online later this week so that you can make good prints of these pictures.

Mom’s Birthday

This weekend was busy for Heather and me. We left work early Friday to drive south to Georgetown (just north of Austin). What is typically a 3 hour drive, I managed to take several detours and make the drive significantly longer. We stayed over Friday night with Heather’s aunt and uncle, staying up late sitting on the back porch talking with family. Saturday we woke up mid morning and drove to Lake Buchanan to partake in the Prinz-Hees Family Reunion (Heather’s mom’s maiden name is Hees). We drove back Sunday afternoon straight to my brother’s house to celebrate my mom’s fantastic 60th birthday! I took only a couple of picture from tonight’s celebration.  But believe me, there will be many more pictures coming from the Family Reunion this week. Can you say costume party?!
