Andrew & Heather
We both grew up in Denton and were married in November of 2006. We just bought our first house and love adjusting to our older home's "character." In our spare time, we enjoy working on graphic and web design projects together. This blog chronicles our adventures and misadventures. Thanks for visiting.
Christmas celebration at my mom’s was, as always, a rambunctious day with all the nephews! I enjoy the time I get to spend with my nephews. Here are some of the pictures that I think sum up the day!
Abe, as well as his brothers and cousins, got cowboy get-up: Hat, holster, 6 shooter, rifle and bandanna. The last of these 3 shots are Abe roundin’ up his herd.
Rev got a very unique gift that will sure provide him hours of fun. It was a magnetic body with different outfits with his head! He also got one with Abe and Bo’s head to they all three can play. . . even while apart!
Rev loved his cowboy get-up too. He also liked his chainsaw.
Little Jones looking not so little.
Rev really wanted a John Deer Gator; he ask for it by name. Though not full size, he got a Gator. The cousins took time driving, though Rev used it to haul things and do work.
With the advent of Twitter, my “Quick Hits” posts seem to be on the decline. However, I feel compelled to post one today. I will suggest that following me on twitter (@arozell) will keep you informed of my thoughts and other “hits” in the interim.
Though Heather doesn’t like my political rants to be, I would be remiss to not say that our government right now is all messed up. I don’t like hearing my president say horrible things will happen if Congress doesn’t pass the latest bill. ABC News
Our pastor, Matt Chandler, was recently diagnose with brain cancer. This news has been extremely tough to hear, but his resolve and renewed Hope has been so encouraging. Here are some great links to look at when you have time:
- Matt Chandler Anthem: Youtube.com (skip to the 5:00 min mark)
- Matt’s Blog: The Village Church
- Matt’s Twitter
This entire incident with Matt Chandler is nearly identical to David Wenzel’s, which I made a post about here. The two have some how found each other and I hope they can continue to bring encouragement to each other. Check out David’s blog: jumpdavidjump.com
Continuing with the Chandler trend; his impact has been so massive that the local sports radio station, 1310 The Ticket, took time to talk about Matt. For those who didn’t get to hear Gordon Kieth on Muse in the News, here you go:
Lastly, here is a Rozell home movie (circa 1993). Please note Scott’s reaction to his gifts. Thinking his gifts were a reflection on his behavior he sadly asks, “What did I do wrong?” (0:30 mark). Poor Scott. At least he certainly will be happy this weekend as his wedding is Saturday.
